Library Policies

This private internal guide is for Darling Library Staff reference. These library policies inform the practices of the Darling Library of Hope International University.

Introduction

Videos are shelved at the end of the Main collection on the 1st floor. Audio books are intershelved with the Main collection. Musical CDs are kept with the Reserve materials (located behind the Circulation Desk).

Most of our sound recordings are spoken word recorded on audiocassette tapes -- primarily chapel messages. Most of our musical recordings are on CD.

Chapel Messages

Recent chapel messages may be found online. Ask for older messages at the Circulation Desk.

Eligibility

Who may use multimedia materials at the Darling Library?

See Patrons Page in this LibGuide. Different patron types are granted different loan periods.

Collection Development Selection Guidelines for Audiovisual Materials

Audiovisual and Non-Print Media. Materials such as video recordings must be purchased in formats that can be used with equipment in the library or in classrooms on campus.
