Some suggestions for AI use are:

Use an AI to learn coding - Coding, for the purpose of crunching data can be a tough thing to learn. Most frontier models of AI are trained with huge amounts of coding. The AI can help the social scientist learn to code, in order to work the data.
Prompt Engineering - Use the AI to help write grants. Word the application to match the ideals of the grantors.
Literature Review assistance - There are several AIs that can be used for producing a literature review, or, at a minimum, provide a list of similar articles.

23 10 Article Can Generative AI Improve Social Science?
In the first section of this article, I assess the potential of Generative AI to improve survey research, online experiments, automated content analyses, agent-based models, and other techniques commonly used to study human behavior. I also discuss the potential of these tools to perform literature reviews, identify novel research questions, and facilitate routine research tasks such as writing, data cleaning, and software programming. In the second section of this article I discuss the many limitations of Generative AI, and whether these tools can be deployed by researchers in an ethical manner.
