Coverage of our policies, procedures, and general information about the Hugh & Hazel Darling Library

Who may use the Darling Library?

There are no restrictions on entering the library, reading materials in-house, or using the photocopier as long as guests abide by the Behavior Policies in this guide. Other library privileges such as borrowing books and using online resources depend on patron type (student, staff, faculty, alumni, etc.) See Circulation Policies page for information on patron types.

Regular Hours end on the last day of finals.

  • Sunday - 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
  • Monday through Thursday - 7:45 AM to 10:00 PM
  • Friday - 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Saturday - closed

CLOSED Thursday 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM for Chapel.

CLOSED for University-observed holidays when no classes are held.

CLOSED for Commencement

Exceptions will be posted on the library's home page.

Returning Books

An external Book Drop slot is available on the east side of the library (1st floor) for returns after hours.
