Searching for library books

Search for books in the Darling Library using the Discovery Service on the library's homepage.

You can easily start with a Basic Search by entering any keywords to search broadly within the title, author, publisher, subject, and other fields.

Click the Advanced Search link to get more specific.

Be sure to use filters on the left of your search results to limit your list to BOOKS, held by the HIU Library, and other options. 

NOTE: If a book you want is not held by HIU, you may request an Interlibrary Loan.

Once you find a book on your subject, browse the shelves in that area for more books on that topic.

Our books are arranged by Dewey Decimal call numbers. Books related to Kinesiology are generally classified as Applied Sciences: Medicine and Health (look in the 610-619 section).

Another related topic might be Athletic & outdoor sports & games found in the 796 section of the book stacks.
