Research Sources and How To Use Them

This guide goes over a number of our licensed resources and how to use them.

Journal Search Using WMS

IF YOU START WITH THE TABBED WMS DISCOVERY BOX FROM THE LIBRARY HOMEPAGE

1 - Click the tab labeled "Articles"

2 - Enter your search term/s, title, or author, if they are known. Use quotation marks if it is a phrase.

3 - Click "Search"

4 - On the Results page, use the filters (see below)

IF YOU START IN WMS DISCOVERY OR PUSHED "ADVANCED SEARCH" IN THE TABBED SEARCH BOX ON THE HOMEPAGE

1 - Enter your search terms in the appropriate box: key term/s in the "keyword" box, known author in "author", and known title in "title". Use quotation marks if it is a phrase.

2 - Click "Search".

USING THE FILTERS

1 - Set "Format" to "Article.

2 - Set the date range under "Publication Year."

3 - Set the "Language" to any languages you read.

Those are the typical settings to work with.
