In 1996, the Board of Directors of the American Communication Association commissioned this journal.

The objective of the Canadian Journal of Communication (CJC) [ISSN: 1499-6642 / 0705-3657] is to publish Canadian research and scholarship in the field of communication studies. In pursuing this objective, particular attention is paid to research that has a distinctive Canadian flavour by virtue of choice of topic or by drawing on the legacy of Canadian theory and research. The purview of the journal is the entire field of communication studies as practiced in Canada or with relevance to Canada.

Case Studies in Strategic Communication (CSSC) is dedicated to the study of strategic communication through the case study form. Case studies illustrate the strategies, tactics, and execution of communication campaigns through in-depth coverage of a single situation. CSSC is a peer-reviewed online publication housed at the University of Texas/ Texas Digital Library.

JCM invites original, previously unpublished, research, survey and tutorial papers, plus case studies and short research notes, on both applied and theoretical aspects of communications.

The Journal of International Crisis and Risk Communication Research (JICRCR) [ISSN: 2576-0017 / is the first scholarly journal dedicated to human and mediated communication issues associated with crises, risks, and emergencies around the world.
